Sculpture Day in Saltwell Park - an event for families
Gateshead Council's family Sculpture Day returns on Sunday 2nd October this year.
Wood, tools and nails are provided and professional artists will be on hand to help young people creating wooden sculptures on this year's theme: Noah's Ark.
While there, you can also make your own ceramic Raku pottery tile and listen to the Cajun Aces at the bandstand.
The event takes place in the Grove, at the south end of the Park, from 11am-4pm and entry is free (if you are making sculptures, you will need to bring a hammer).
