The North East Regional Museums Hub

Here's an introduction to this interesting body, covering many of the museums in the north east of England.

The North East Regional Museums Hub is a partnership between Tyne and Wear Museums, Beamish Museum, The Bowes Museum and Hartlepool Museums and the North East Museums, Libraries and Archives Council. The Hub is funded by the DCMS through the Renaissance in the Regions Programme and managed by the MLA. The overall aim of the Hub is to ensure that more children, young people and families can benefit from the extensive and varied Museum collections around the North East region.
The Hub Education Team employs Education Officers specialising in Family Learning, Key Stages 3&4 and Literacy. In addition, two Cultural Entitlement Officers have recently joined the team. Their role is to promote Museum Education and the ways in which it can help school staff in the delivery of a rich and varied curriculum.
If you have any questions about Museum Education, or would like to have a chat about how Museums can help you, whatever age group or subject area you are interested in and whether in a formal or informal setting, please contact:
