Books Make Prizes - Gateshead Libraries

Gateshead Libraries is trying harder than ever to encourage children to join the library and to read more books. With this aim in mind it is launching an exciting competition, Books Make Prizes. The competition will run until 31 March 2006 and has two categories according to age. For 4-7 year olds there are five fabulous prizes chosen from this year’s Christmas must-have list, including Baby Annabell and Roboraptor. For the 8-15 year olds there are four prizes, a lap top computer, a digital camera, an ipod nano and a hand-held games console.

Entry requirements are that children should be members of the library and that they borrow books on four separate occasions. After answering a simple question they will then be entered into the prize draw. There will also be a monthly draw in both categories (music vouchers or ‘Toys for Us’ vouchers). Entry forms are available from all Gateshead Libraries or from our website:www.asaplive.com/iKnow/News.cfm?ccs=121&cs=1709

We will be sending out information packs to all Gateshead Schools w/c
14th November, so you’ll more about this in due course.
This is an excellent opportunity to encourage young people to use the library and to read books. Promoting the competition will enable us to reach as many children as possible.
