Durham Museums schools workshops and teachers' open day for Spring

The DLI Museum and Art Gallery, Killhope Lead Mining Museum, Beamish, The Bowes Museum and Binchester Roman Fort have a Spring schedule, attached.

Features include funding towards transport for school visits, case studies for KS4 Leisure and Tourism, the Victorians at Killhope and early entry to Binchester (nr. Bishop Auckland) before it opens to the public. There are also WWI & WWII themes at the DLI, and science at both Killhope and DLI.

Teacher-led visits are also possible (up to 35 children), but please let the Museum know that you are coming. Children £1.25 each and adults go free.

There is a Teachers Open Day at DLI on Saturday 18th February from 10am - 3pm. Entry is free to teachers and up to three members of their family (print off and bring the attachment). Find out what all the museums in the group have to offer your school. No need to book.
