Ways Into Workshops is a weekend course exploring the many aspects of leading music-making in the community.
Based on The Sage Gateshead and More Music in Morecambe training weekend of 2001, Ways Into Workshops 2006 aims to inspire and facilitate musicians, teachers, youth workers, composers, health workers, community arts practitioners, community workers and anyone with an enthusiasm for music
The course will be led by a team of renowned Community Musicians - Katherine Zeserson, Pete Moser, Steve Lewis and Ken Patterson - and will look at leading music-making in the community, working in the widest range of musical disciplines and styles and including practical music making, workshops structures, group dynamics, the role of the leader and repertoire.
You can expect to:
· Develop a palette of ideas and gather new tools
· Find new ways of bringing a group together
· Play games, make new music and have fun
· Explore ways of creating the best environment for imagination to flourish
