From the frozen Arctic to the scorching desert and life in a modern city, uncover the things we all need to survive and discover how people have developed amazing ways to cope with extreme climates and habitats.
You will be transported to some of the most diverse and challenging places in the world to see how different environments mean different lifestyles, for both humans and other animals.

The Dome
Opens 8 April 2006
This state-of-the-art dome theatre seats 65 visitors and is capable of screening the very latest Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) shows.
The first show to be screened in the Dome is called Lifeseeker and has been specially created for the Centre for Life. Enter, sit back and prepare for a journey to some of the most extreme environments on Earth and beyond in the search for life... but maybe not as we know it!

Opening Times:
Monday-Saturday: 10am - 6pm (last admission at 4pm)
Sunday: 11am - 6pm (last admission at 4pm)

Admission prices:
Adult: £6.95
Child: £4.50
Concessions: £5.50
Family Ticket: £19.95 (two adults and two children or one adult and three children)
